SpotPro Network

Not one product — one hub, many outlets

Stop thinking of the SpotPro Network as a single website. Think: your coin shop → SpotPro hub → several different channels. Shared dealer identity, inventory, spots, and traffic. Use the outlets that make money or save labor — they are not extra products to buy one by one. CDXList, CDX Auction, and CDX Ads are brands inside that network — not the name of the whole thing.

In plain English: your shop information (and inventory, if you use SpotPro) sits in the middle. From there you can reach people looking for a local dealer (CDXList), people looking for dealers at shows (CoinShows.us), people who want to sell metal (Cash4Coins), online retail buyers (ExtraCoins), other dealers (CoinDealerX), public auction buyers (CDX Auction / Live), plus hosting, secondary directories, price boards, the public network map (CDX Network), and a hand-reviewed industry link directory (CDX Links) — without re-entering the same coin five times.

The real idea is one inventory and identity, multiple outlets. The hub is the source of truth. Channels are doors, not separate businesses you re-type for.

You do not have to use every outlet on day one. That is about workload, not extra bills. Use what makes you money or saves labor — not “how many websites do I get?”

The complete cycle — with Liberty

Liberty walks the SpotPro Network cycle — one hub, many doors. You stay in control.

The Complete Cycle

Same idea as a still if you want to save or share the picture. Inventory moves through SpotPro. You do not have to use every outlet on day one. The hub is the shop subscription.

SpotPro Network complete cycle: customer sells collection, buy into inventory, retail, ExtraCoins, CoinDealerX wholesale, CDX Auction, discovery via CDXList CoinShows Cash4Coins, sales back into the same system

1 · Dealer entry points (how shops join the net)

Different doors, same project. A shop may use one or several — that is workload, not extra product fees. You do not have to run every outlet on day one.

Primary ops SpotPro POS, inventory, staff, spots, members login. Main operating system for the shop.
Hosting CoinWebHosting Dealer website product. Hosted storefront/pages that can sit on the same dealer identity.
Directory claim CDX Ads / portal Claim a listing, then Plus or Featured — manage it without full POS.
Online store ExtraCoins storefronts Retail web store / demos for dealers who sell inventory online (not the walk-in directory).
Microsite *.dealer.spotpro.us Per-dealer public page on SpotPro — lightweight shop presence tied to the member.
Wholesale CoinDealerX B2B wholesale entry (dealer-to-dealer deals, not public eBay-style lots).
Auction sell CDX Auction List lots / sell into the public auction marketplace (list-from-SpotPro path).
Shows CoinShows attendance Mark “I’ll be there” + free booth number so collectors see you on the show page.
Network story CDX Network Public map of the Coin Dealer Exchange — the eight places a SpotPro shop appears. Marketing front door, not a separate signup.

2 · Collector & public entry points (how buyers find you)

Public surfaces answer different questions. One dirty address/phone in the hub hurts every channel below.

Primary directory CDXList.com “Coin shop near me” — ZIP radius + all 50 states. Lead discovery surface.
Shows CoinShows.us “What show is near me / who is at this show?” Calendar + dealers on the floor.
Sell metal Cash4Coins Mail-in and local referral path for people who want to sell coins/scrap.
Secondary directory USCoinShops Additional shop search surface — useful, not the lead story vs CDXList.
Industry links CDX Links Hand-reviewed directory of coin, bullion, and numismatic websites. Reciprocal links. Not shops-by-ZIP — that is CDXList.
Auction buy CDX Auction Public lots, bidding, stores — marketplace for buyers and sellers.
Live CDX Live Live/theater-style auction experience alongside timed auction.
Spots SpotPrice / SpotPriceNow Public metal prices and boards that share the same spot spine as the hub.
Storefronts ExtraCoins shops Dealer online catalogs and cart experiences for remote retail.

3 · Hub — SpotPro members (shared spine)

One dealer identity, inventory, spots, and subscription. Channels pull from here; they do not each invent a separate “source of truth.”

SpotPro hub

spotpro.us · members area

  • Buy / sell POS & tickets
  • Inventory & labels
  • Live metal spots
  • Company profile (public listing data)
  • Staff / roles
  • Subscription & billing
Engagement Notifications & alerts In-app and email-style operational notices so staff see what needs action (buys, messages, auction, claims).
Demand Want lists Track what customers or the shop is looking for — demand signal next to inventory, not a separate silo.
Shows Coin show attendance Mark shows, booth number, what you might bring — feeds CoinShows public “dealers at this show.”
Channels List to auction / deals Push inventory toward CDX Auction lots and wholesale deal rails without re-keying the shop.
AI & boards AI tools · display boards Counter boards, price displays, and AI helpers that use the same inventory and spot data.

4 · Sales & discovery channels (what the hub powers)

These are the outlets. Profile accuracy + inventory in the hub is what makes each channel honest.

Walk-in discovery CDXList directory Year-round “near me.” SpotPro opt-in profiles rank ahead of free listings when enabled.
Paid placement CDX Plus / Featured Upgrades via CDX Ads for shops that want stronger directory placement without full SpotPro.
Network ads CDNX / network advertising Network-side advertising surfaces that sit beside directory and show tools.
Show floor CoinShows dealers list Event-specific discovery — different job from ZIP search on CDXList.
Public auction CDX Auction lots Timed / fixed lots, stores, feedback, pay — full marketplace leg.
Live auction CDX Live Live bidding experience sharing auction infrastructure.
Wholesale CoinDealerX B2B Dealer-to-dealer wholesale (different fee/UX model than public auction).
Online retail ExtraCoins + hosting sites Web catalog/cart. Hosting (CoinWebHosting) and ExtraCoins tenants are storefront channels.
Referrals Cash4Coins dealers Local alternatives for sellers — feeds walk-in and buy desks near a ZIP.
Secondary dir USCoinShops Extra directory surface; keep data consistent with CDXList, not a second “source of truth.”
Industry links CDX Links Curated coin-industry website directory. Shops apply with a reciprocal link. Separate from CDXList ZIP search.
Network map CDX Network Public explainer for the eight SpotPro presence sites. Same story as this page, on its own domain.
Vertical brands Scrap · ShopCoins · PM · Practical Ads Specialized traffic/brand legs (scrapgoldpro, shopcoins, pmdealers, practicalads) on the same metal/dealer standards.
In-shop Display boards & spots Counter/TV boards and SpotPriceNow — sell and educate with live metal, not a separate inventory world.
Sold comps soldcomps.us Auction-house and eBay realized prices. Public explainer; live search is Quick reference → Sold comps in SpotPro. Included, no extra fee.

5 · Docs & operator support

Each major leg has its own docs site so operators are not dumped into one undifferentiated help dump.

docs.spotpro.us SpotPro product docs, members tools, day-to-day ops.
docs.coindealerx.com Wholesale / CoinDealerX operator docs.
docs.cdxauction.com Auction seller/buyer documentation.

Rule of the net: One inventory and identity in the hub; multiple outlets outside. Directories, shows, auction, wholesale, and storefronts are channels — not five separate products to re-type or five extra bills. Fix data once. Use an outlet if it makes money or saves labor, not because another logo is on the map. You do not have to use every channel.

At a glance

What this part of SpotPro is for — in plain English.

CDXList + Cash4Coins — customer acquisition and people who want to sell to a shop

CoinDealerX — dealer-to-dealer wholesale liquidity from the same inventory spine

CDX Auction / Live — public auction outlet (SpotPro members: $0 list + $0 platform fee when it sells; buyer pays the shop)

ExtraCoins + hosting — online retail without a separate product spreadsheet

CoinShows — useful when you work the floor (booth number free)

Shared inventory/reporting — fewer errors than five disconnected systems

Where dealers usually start (business case, not vanity URLs)

Rough order of attention for most brick-and-mortar shops. This is what to learn first — not a list of extra charges.

What this means for a coin dealer

Three high-value pieces most shops should understand — then the closed loop — then the full wireframe atlas.

1. CDXList (and Cash4Coins) = customer acquisition

Someone searches for a coin dealer in their area. Your shop can appear in the network’s primary directory. SpotPro members who opt in get priority over free listings on CDXList when ranking applies.

That matters for walk-ins, people selling inherited collections, bullion sellers, collectors who do not already know your shop, and anyone typing “coin shop near me.”

Cash4Coins is especially interesting from a dealer’s chair: it is built around people who want to sell coins, bullion, or scrap and can be routed toward local desks. Seller-side leads are often more valuable than another passive directory listing.

Browse CDXList as a collector would →

2. CoinDealerX = wholesale liquidity (often under-noticed)

This is not the public directory. CoinDealerX is B2B wholesale — vetted dealers buying and selling inventory to other dealers.

You already make this call constantly: wait for retail, or turn inventory into cash now by selling to another dealer. Wholesale is the outlet for excess, common material, bullion, dealer want-list fills, and lots where retailing piece-by-piece is not worth the labor.

The operational point is integration: pull from existing inventory where the path is wired; sold quantity should not live on a second spreadsheet. Wholesale activity is meant to show up in normal sales/P&L thinking as wholesale — not a side notebook.

Open CoinDealerX →

3. CDX Auction = public auction outlet (not the same as wholesale)

CoinDealerX = dealer ↔ dealer. CDX Auction = dealer → public auction buyer (plus CDX Live for live formats).

Use auction for pieces that are too specialized for the case, better suited to bidding, hard to price with confidence, or aimed at a national collector audience — without treating every coin as a full high-fee marketplace project.

For SpotPro members, product truth is $0 to list and $0 platform final-value fee when it sells; the buyer pays your shop for the coin (SpotPro is not holding the metal settlement as escrow). Independent freestanding sellers have separate fee plans on the auction site — confirm current plans before you plan around a fee.

Open CDX Auction →

The big idea: a closed-loop dealer ecosystem

The interesting part is not any single website. It is the loop:

Customer sells you a collection → you buy it in your buying system → it enters inventory → retail the best pieces in the shop → put some online (ExtraCoins / hosting) → wholesale some material (CoinDealerX) → auction unusual pieces (CDX Auction) → get discovered (CDXList / CoinShows / Cash4Coins) → sales and inventory still report in one place.

That is what the network diagram is trying to communicate. One shop. One spine. Multiple outlets.

Do not try to run the whole map on day one

That is not a pitch for extra modules. SpotPro is one shop subscription. The map is large because the network is large — not because each logo is another monthly bill.

Turn on what matches how you already work: walk-in, shows, mail-in, web retail, wholesale, auction. Leave the rest until you need it. You do not start over, and you do not pay again to “add” CDXList, ExtraCoins, CoinDealerX, or CDX Auction.

Judge a tool by money or labor — not by how many logos sit on a page. Extra directories by themselves are nice. Shared inventory plus a real wholesale and auction path is usually the day-to-day win. CDXList and Cash4Coins are how people find you.

How listings & show attendance work day to day →

How to prioritize the business case

Not guarantees of performance — a practical order of attention for most full-service shops:

High leverage: shared inventory/reporting · Cash4Coins-style seller leads · CoinDealerX wholesale liquidity · CDXList acquisition · ExtraCoins online retail · CDX Auction as an alternate public channel.
Situational: CoinShows (if you staff shows) · hosting/microsites · secondary directories · vertical brands (scrap, ShopCoins, PM, boards).

The wireframe atlas still lists every property. Use this section to decide why you’d open any of them.

Common questions

Short answers dealers ask before they try this on the floor.

Is the SpotPro Network one product?
No. SpotPro Network is the ecosystem name: shared dealer identity, inventory, pricing, and traffic. SpotPro software is the hub. CDXList, CDX Auction, CoinDealerX, ExtraCoins, CoinShows, Cash4Coins, hosting, and the rest are outlets and brands with different jobs — not separate companies you re-type for.
Do I need every website?
No — and you are not billed per website. One SpotPro shop includes the network presence. Fill in the profile, then use the outlets that match how you work. Ignore the rest until you want them. A separately hosted dealer site (CoinWebHosting) and paid directory ads without SpotPro are the exceptions; those pages say so.
What is CDX Network vs CDX Links vs CDXList?
CDX Network (cdxnetwork.com) is the public map of the Coin Dealer Exchange — the eight places a SpotPro shop appears. CDXList is shops by ZIP / “near me.” CDX Links (cdxlinks.com) is a hand-reviewed directory of coin-industry websites (reciprocal links), not a shop locator.
What is the difference between CoinDealerX and CDX Auction?
CoinDealerX is dealer-to-dealer wholesale. CDX Auction (and Live) is a public marketplace for collectors and other public buyers. Different audience, UX, and purpose.
Where do notifications and want lists fit?
In the SpotPro hub — how staff see work and how demand sits next to inventory — not separate consumer apps. They support better counter, auction, and wholesale decisions.
What does SpotPro charge on ExtraCoins or CDX Auction for members?
Product truth: ExtraCoins list/sell path is $0 SpotPro commission. CDX Auction for SpotPro members is $0 list and $0 platform final-value fee; buyers pay the dealer for the coin. CoinDealerX membership path has no SpotPro GMV take rate on wholesale posts (vetting applies). Always confirm current plans on the product/pricing pages before you plan around a fee.

What coin shops say

Real dealers. Real floors. Same software we run at The Coin Shop in Brighton.

After six months I can say it's made us more organized and a bit more profitable. Counter is faster, the website actually moves product, and texting customers about new arrivals works better than email ever did. The price displays help a lot with trust. We're not going back to the old way.

Counter · store

Online was always a pain for us until this. Having our own little store with live prices that actually update has made a difference. No weird fees eating into the margins. Counter work is cleaner too, and the text alerts when we get new stock are simple but effective. Customers respond to them.

Online store

The TV screen alone was worth it. People walk in, see the current numbers, and relax instead of pulling out their phones to check. Texting customers when new stuff comes in brings them back faster than I expected. Online sales are finally consistent without the usual marketplace headaches. Setup wasn't a nightmare either.

TV boards · SMS

Wasn't looking for another system, but a buddy talked me into trying it. Glad he did. Inventory, labels, counter, and the website all stay in sync for once. Customers trust the prices more because they update themselves, and the scrap gold tool is simple enough that even my part-timers don't mess it up. It's been a solid upgrade.

Inventory · scrap

Labels and inventory used to eat up way too much of the day. Now it's quick, the pricing stays current, and we can reprice stuff without starting from scratch every time the market moves. People comment on how professional the screens look. It's just less friction day to day.

Labels · inventory

Busy shop plus shows was always a juggling act. This system handles both without forcing us to keep separate lists or files. Stock stays consistent, labels are easy, and the online and wholesale pieces don't fight with the counter. It just feels practical. Happy we switched.

Shop + shows

The Scrap Gold table has made purchasing scrap gold super easy. New customers never question our prices.

Scrap gold

We used to bounce between a couple different programs and still end up with mistakes. Now everything's in one place and it just works. The price boards look professional, customers notice, and the directory listings have brought in a few new faces. Staff picked it up pretty quick. For what we pay, it's more than paid for itself.

One system

I've tried a few different setups over the years and most of them feel like they were built for regular retail and then someone added "coins" as an afterthought. This one doesn't. Buying is straightforward, the boards are accurate, and the online side doesn't cost us extra every time something sells. Support has been decent when we needed it.

Built for dealers

We've been with SpotPro for 5 years, and it's been a Godsend for our shop. The standout? Definitely the Point of Sale Display. Also the text messaging — a quick notification after new stock and customers come calling.

TV boards · SMS

We've been really impressed with SpotPro's features, like the gold coin database. This thing saves a ton of time. Highly recommend!

Reference tools

Since we started using SpotPro, we've noticed a significant change in how we do things. Real-time pricing and the POS Display have really helped. I'd definitely suggest giving it a try if you're in the business.

Live pricing

The text messaging service keeps our customers in the loop for new inventory. It's a great tool for letting customers know what's going on.

Messaging

I do a lot of shows and still keep the shop open, so I needed something that works in both places. Tracking buys by location, printing clean receipts, and keeping stock straight has been a relief. The online store and the wholesale side both pull from the same inventory, which cuts down on the usual double-entry mess. Feels like it was made by someone who's actually done this job.

Shows · wholesale

SpotPro's e-commerce service has increased our online presence. No selling fees. Absolutely worth it.

ExtraCoins · $0 cut

I've been in this business long enough to be tired of software that doesn't get how we actually work. SpotPro finally does. Buying at the counter and at shows is way faster now, the prices on the big screen stay current so customers stop arguing, and the online store actually sells without nickel-and-diming us on fees. It's just made the whole shop run smoother.
