No double-selling
Putting a coin on auction does not lock it by itself. Once someone bids — or you put it in a live show — that stock item is held so the counter and website cannot sell it again.
Website · Wholesale · Auction — same stock as at the counter
You should not have to keep three different lists. SpotPro uses one count for the case, the website, other dealers, and the auction floor.
| Where | Website | Who buys | How it prices | SpotPro fees |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ExtraCoins | yourname.extracoins.com | Collectors / public | Fixed retail (bullion can follow spot); optional in-store only showcase listings (web visible, no cart) | $0 list / $0 sell commission from SpotPro |
| Coin Dealer X | coindealerx.com | Other dealers (vetted) | Fixed wholesale | Included for eligible members — no SpotPro GMV take |
| CDX Auction | cdxauction.com | Public and dealers | Bidding and live shows | Members: $0 list / $0 platform FVF; buyer pays you |
Remote sales from every channel land in SpotPro — not three separate inboxes. Money & status on Orders, pack & labels on Ship Desk, buyers on Customers.
Putting a coin on auction does not lock it by itself. Once someone bids — or you put it in a live show — that stock item is held so the counter and website cannot sell it again.
If an auction item is live, the ExtraCoins product page can say so and point people to bid instead of buying fixed price.
Paid ship orders from ExtraCoins, CDX Auction/Live, and wholesale pack on one desk — buyer groups, rates, labels, packing slips. Local pickup stays on Orders / the register.
Same buyer email across store, auction, and wholesale = one card with channel badges and history — not three CRM tabs.
If the last one sells in the store or wholesale before any bid, open auctions with no bids can close so you are not stuck with a dead listing.
Buyers pay your shop — card, Zelle, wire, pickup, and the methods you already use. We are not holding the buyer’s money as a middleman escrow. Your customers and prices stay yours — SpotPro is not a multi-dealer marketplace of other shops on your page (you stay the shop).
SpotPro does not replace eBay or Shopify. Those sites stay your public storefronts. SpotPro is the shop system underneath: counter sales, inventory, sell prices, and packing for remote orders. Pure marketplace or cart software is built for online traffic — not for a coin shop’s buy desk, case stock, live metal prices, and auction holds.
Already have years of eBay (or Shopify) listings? Connect the API, then use Import catalog → SpotPro. Matching SKUs link to existing inventory; missing SKUs become new SpotPro items. Your marketplace listings stay live — you do not recreate thousands of listings. After import, SpotPro is the hub for stock, sell prices, orders, cancels, and ship tracking.
SpotPro’s own lanes are ExtraCoins (web store) and CDX Auction (public bidding). On top of that you can connect all five external marketplace APIs. Same SKU can appear on:
That’s seven selling surfaces, one inventory count. (Coin Dealer X wholesale is an eighth dealer-to-dealer lane when you use it.) Members path: Ecommerce → Marketplaces — Save & test, Import catalog or Link by SKU, then sync. Metal prices update about every 5 minutes (spot + your premiums; eBay only when there are no bids). Online metal protection can set available qty to 0 on linked listings when the tape is protected, then restore SpotPro qty.
External marketplace APIs (all five supported together)

SpotPro becomes the hub: import your existing marketplace catalog (no forced recreate on eBay/Shopify), then stock and sell prices push out, paid orders come in, cancels restock, and shipping tracking goes back out. Metal sell math stays hub-driven (spot + your premiums). How to do it: Help Center step-by-step (Save & test → Import catalog or Link by SKU → Sync qty / prices / Orders ↔) · Members: Ecommerce → Marketplaces.
You can connect eBay and Shopify and Square and WooCommerce and BigCommerce at the same time. Same barcode/SKU can be linked on every channel you turn on.
When gold and silver move, SpotPro can update sell prices on linked listings from your live spot + premiums — about every 5 minutes on a schedule, or on demand. Elsewhere, multi-channel price automation is often a separate paid connector or “enterprise” module; here it’s part of Marketplaces for connected platforms. eBay never auto-revises a listing that already has bids.
Same Online Pricing protection that covers ExtraCoins checkout and Auction spot Buy Now also protects linked eBay/Shopify/Square/Woo/BigCommerce stock: while protection is active (stale/down feed, or U.S. session closed in conservative mode), SpotPro sets available qty to 0 on in-scope linked listings (on-hand unchanged). When the tape is live again (or the session reopens), real qty is restored. SpotPro cannot turn off those platforms’ checkout — qty 0 is the purchase block.
Paid marketplace orders are imported into Ecommerce → Orders and Ship Desk. Stock drops once; remaining qty updates on every other linked channel. Pack and label like ExtraCoins.
On-hand qty stays aligned after sales. Optional order webhooks for near-real-time import; prices ~every 5 minutes; order pull ~every 10 — or Sync orders now / Update prices anytime.

Real dealers. Real floors. Same software we run at The Coin Shop in Brighton.
I do a lot of shows and still keep the shop open, so I needed something that works in both places. Tracking buys by location, printing clean receipts, and keeping stock straight has been a relief. The online store and the wholesale side both pull from the same inventory, which cuts down on the usual double-entry mess. Feels like it was made by someone who's actually done this job.
I've been in this business long enough to be tired of software that doesn't get how we actually work. SpotPro finally does. Buying at the counter and at shows is way faster now, the prices on the big screen stay current so customers stop arguing, and the online store actually sells without nickel-and-diming us on fees. It's just made the whole shop run smoother.
SpotPro's e-commerce service has increased our online presence. No selling fees. Absolutely worth it.
The text messaging service keeps our customers in the loop for new inventory. It's a great tool for letting customers know what's going on.
The TV screen alone was worth it. People walk in, see the current numbers, and relax instead of pulling out their phones to check. Texting customers when new stuff comes in brings them back faster than I expected. Online sales are finally consistent without the usual marketplace headaches. Setup wasn't a nightmare either.
After six months I can say it's made us more organized and a bit more profitable. Counter is faster, the website actually moves product, and texting customers about new arrivals works better than email ever did. The price displays help a lot with trust. We're not going back to the old way.
We used to bounce between a couple different programs and still end up with mistakes. Now everything's in one place and it just works. The price boards look professional, customers notice, and the directory listings have brought in a few new faces. Staff picked it up pretty quick. For what we pay, it's more than paid for itself.
I've tried a few different setups over the years and most of them feel like they were built for regular retail and then someone added "coins" as an afterthought. This one doesn't. Buying is straightforward, the boards are accurate, and the online side doesn't cost us extra every time something sells. Support has been decent when we needed it.
Busy shop plus shows was always a juggling act. This system handles both without forcing us to keep separate lists or files. Stock stays consistent, labels are easy, and the online and wholesale pieces don't fight with the counter. It just feels practical. Happy we switched.
We've been really impressed with SpotPro's features, like the gold coin database. This thing saves a ton of time. Highly recommend!
Wasn't looking for another system, but a buddy talked me into trying it. Glad he did. Inventory, labels, counter, and the website all stay in sync for once. Customers trust the prices more because they update themselves, and the scrap gold tool is simple enough that even my part-timers don't mess it up. It's been a solid upgrade.
Online was always a pain for us until this. Having our own little store with live prices that actually update has made a difference. No weird fees eating into the margins. Counter work is cleaner too, and the text alerts when we get new stock are simple but effective. Customers respond to them.
Labels and inventory used to eat up way too much of the day. Now it's quick, the pricing stays current, and we can reprice stuff without starting from scratch every time the market moves. People comment on how professional the screens look. It's just less friction day to day.
Since we started using SpotPro, we've noticed a significant change in how we do things. Real-time pricing and the POS Display have really helped. I'd definitely suggest giving it a try if you're in the business.
We've been with SpotPro for 5 years, and it's been a Godsend for our shop. The standout? Definitely the Point of Sale Display. Also the text messaging — a quick notification after new stock and customers come calling.
The Scrap Gold table has made purchasing scrap gold super easy. New customers never question our prices.
